Botswana 2013 – A wildlife photography safari from Maun to Victoria Falls

In October 2013 I took a long distance trip for the first time for a number of years. This time it was a camping safari to Botswana, this had been a long standing ambition of mine. We flew into Maun from Edinburgh via London and Johannesburg. Due to flight delays we were a day late arriving and needed to take a bush flight to join up with the safari in the Moremi Game Reserve. We spent 1 night there before moving on to the Khwai River Community Area where we spent the next 3 nights. From there we travelled up to Savuti in the Chobe Game Reserve for a further 3 nights. Then it was on up to the Chobe River for a couple more nights then on to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for a night and a chance to visit the impressive Falls.

This trip was very much a ‘photography trip’ and below is a selection of the best (and some not so good but interesting) photographs. If you would like either electronic copies or prints of any of the photographs please contact me, my contact details are at the bottom of the page.
